Permit-Pal is a private document management and tracking assistant. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. By accessing or using the app, you explicitly agree to these terms.

1. Definitions

“We”, “Us”, “Our” refers to Kegistech Private Limited, the author of the Permit-Pal App.

“You”, “Your” refers to the purchaser who downloads or uses the App.

2. Data Collection & Usage

• User Information: We collect your name, email, and business category to provide account services.
• AI Scanning: Users may choose to input document data via AI Scanning features or Manual Entry. AI Scanning processes documents only upon explicit user request and permission.

3. Third-Party AI Data Processing & Data Sharing

To provide the optional automatic text and extraction feature ("Secure AI Document Scanner"), Permit-Pal integrates with third-party Artificial Intelligence services. Your data is shared with these sub-processors under strict confidentiality guidelines:

Third-Party AI Provider: Google LLC (Google Gemini API)

• Data Transmitted: Image files (JPG, PNG) or document files (PDF) uploaded by the user specifically for permit processing, including any text, corporate details, names, expiration dates, or numbers contained within the document.
• Purpose: Automating document indexing by reading, extracting, and formatting permit numbers, corporate entities, and renewal dates into user-editable form fields.
• Data Protection & Privacy Assurances: Permit-Pal utilizes Google's paid, enterprise-grade developer API tier. Google processes this data instantly and securely in transit using industry-standard encryption. In accordance with Google’s enterprise privacy policies, data transmitted via this API tier is treated with equal privacy protections and is not used, stored, or retained by Google LLC to train public AI models.
• User Consent: No document or image file is sent to Google Gemini APIs without explicit, just-in-time user confirmation and consent in the mobile app interface.

4. Data Retention & Automatic Deletion

Notice: Any permit or document record older than twenty-four (24) months from its expiration date will be automatically and permanently purged from our servers.

5. Freemium Model & Subscriptions

Users may track up to two (2) permits at no cost. To track three or more documents, a "Pro" subscription (Bi-Annual or Yearly) is required via the respective App Store.

6. Limitation of Liability

Kegistech Private Limited shall not be held liable for fines, legal penalties, or business losses resulting from missed deadlines or errors in AI data extraction. AI accuracy must be verified by the user.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Users globally are responsible for ensuring compliance with their local regulations.
